Instagram Live Textile Talks throughout May!

We continue our hugely popular Instagram Live series Textile Talk throughout May, and we’re really getting into our stride now! Having been terribly nervous of appearing on camera, or fluffing up the tech, both Graham and myself are really starting to relax into it.

Textile Talk with Stitch by Stitch is a series of informal chats on our Instagram platform with some of our favourite textile brands, designers and friends, created to provide a little 30 mins of distraction and, we hope comfort, in this very strange time of lockdown that most of us around the world find ourselves in.

There are two Talks per week, on a Tuesday and Thursday, on Instagram’s Live video streaming platform. It’s a way for us to bring the work and processes of independent textile businesses to you, and to connect with some fantastic people. We’ll be talking about how the COVID-19 situation has inevitably impacted our businesses, but also about the positive things we are doing to keep going.

Guests so far during May have included A Rum Fellow, a UK textile brand whose distinctive Mayan woven textiles have created a bright splash in the interiors market, hand weaver Maria Sigma, who works with a No Waste philosophy in her hand-weaving studio, and director of The Bristol Weaving Mill - who weave our Barley and Barton throws - Juliet Bailey.
