A quilt with two contrasting sides! This contemporary art quilt is made with a regular brick patchwork pattern on one side, and a random large-scale patchwork composition on the other. Where the choice of fabrics seems random, the harmonising colours bring the design together as a whole.

This quilt perfectly demonstrates the design, composition and craft skills of our quilt makers in Gujarat. Originally conceived as a sampler to illustrate the different patchwork and embroidery skills of the makers, we are delighted to offer this unique quilt as part of our Artisan Focus collection.

One side is made with plain handloom cotton fabrics in a brick pattern, the other side has a mix of floral printed, zig zag block printed and plain cotton fabrics. The kantha stitching is in off-white thread.

Hang this quilt on the wall to make a dramatic statement, or use it as an extra warm layer on a bed or piece of furniture.

This quilt comes in a cotton drawstring bag, which can be used to store your quilt or other bed linen when not in use, or can be repurposed to store clothes when travelling!
