How long does shipping take?

For items in stock: When shipping in the UK, we usually use ParcelForce on a 48 hour delivery service, so you should receive your order within 2-3 working days of ordering. Next day delivery is also available in the UK - you can select this option at checkout. We offer a collection service on our ceramics from the pottery studio in London E5. When shipping internationally, we use ParcelForce or a courier such as UPS, and most orders reach their destinations within a week. For more accurate delivery times, please contact us to discuss options. More info can be found on our Shipping & Returns page.

For items not in stock: Sometimes we run out of stock of some pieces, and a few items are always made to order, such as our ceramics. This will be clearly stated on the product page, and you won’t be able to order online if a product is out of stock, unless the product is marked “Pre-order”. If in any doubt, please contact us for info. We also offer a Waitlist for out of stock items - here you can leave your email address and we will contact you as soon as the product is back in stock.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping in the UK for retail customers is free of charge for orders over £100 - excluding ceramics. International shipping is calculated at checkout. More info can be found on our Shipping & Returns page.

My country is not listed as one you ship to.

We have tried to include most countries that we have shipped to. If your country is not listed, please contact us for a shipping quote. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship ceramics outside the UK at this time, due to the fragility of the bowls.

How do I care for my Stitch by Stitch pieces?

Our kala cotton cushion covers (Chindi, Block + Stitch) can be washed at a low temperature (cold or 30 degrees celsius) on a delicate wash cycle in your washing machine. Our radhi rugs can also be washed in the washing machine on a wool programme. For all other products, we recommend occasional dry-cleaning because the delicate stitching on our quilts, and the fringing detail on the Desi wool cushions could possibly be damaged, or the appearance altered, during the washing process. If you’re in London, we recommend BLANC dry cleaners who use biodegradable, health friendly, non toxic detergents.

Our ceramics are dishwasher safe.

Can I buy the cushion covers without the cushion pads?

Yes, we can sell the cushion covers without the filling. This can be useful to reduce shipping costs when sending internationally. Please email us about this for reduced pricing and info in advance.

Do you offer a trade discount?

Yes, we offer trade discount to interior designers - please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, we do sell some products wholesale. We are not able to offer wholesale prices on every product due to the high cost of our production. For a wholesale line sheet, or to discuss your requirements in detail, please contact us.

Are your products fair trade?

All our production is carried out with fair trade principles. Our Kala cotton fabrics are handwoven in Kutch by weavers who are supported by Khamir, an NGO working to strengthen and promote the rich artisanal traditions of the Kutch district.  Khamir's Kala Cotton Initiative encourages sustainable, indigenous cotton textile production, and the preservation of agricultural and artisan livelihoods in Kutch. Our Radhi rugs are created in Nepal, and our hand-weavers are supported by Sabah Nepal, a social business organisation which works towards strengthening the livelihoods of financially deprived and marginalised home-based women workers in Nepal. You can read more about our artisans here.

How eco-friendly is your packaging?

We try hard to strike a balance between using environmentally-friendly packaging materials and ensuring that your order arrives securely and in perfect condition. When shipping small orders, such as a cushion or a throw, we use 100% compostable mailing bags, which meet EN13432, so you can simply put them in with your green waste. For larger orders, we use Enviro-boxes - these are heavy duty cardboard boxes that are made from reinforced single wall corrugated cardboard, offering the protection of double-walled boxes, but using less material. Their manufacture results in 30% less CO2 emissions, and they are approx 7% lighter meaning lower transport costs. Enviro-boxes are one of the UK’s most environmentally friendly boxes, helping to reduce material waste. We also use kraft paper packing tape which is free from plastics, so you can leave it on the cardboard box if putting into paper recycling. When shipping internationally, and sometimes domestically, we use a layer of bubble wrap to protect your textiles from any possible water damage - we are currently researching a more environmentally-friendly solution to water-proof our boxed textiles. To fill voids in boxes, we try to use paper filler which can easily be recycled.

Do you use natural dyes?

All our handwoven kala cotton yarns are dyed using natural dyes. Lac Red used in our Desi Wool collection is also a natural dye derived from a scale insect, and produced using an ancient, traditional method. In many cases, no dyes are used at all - for example, our Desi Dark Earth and Natural Stripe wools, and our Radhi Rug wool is simply the natural colour of the sheep. Our Desi Indigo wool is not a natural indigo dye.

Are your white textiles bleached?

All our white kala cotton fabrics and white/off-white wool is unbleached.

Can I buy your products elsewhere?

All Stitch by Stitch products are designed by and produced just for Stitch by Stitch - we don’t “buy in” products from elsewhere. We sell through a select number of stockists worldwide.

I am a stylist, can I borrow product for magazine photo shoots?

Yes, we lend our products for photo shoots, where we will be credited. For other loans and hire, please contact us.
